After having studied Spanish for at least six months, we recommend that students spend at least a week studying Spanish in Mexico. The school with which we have a strong relationship is the Center for Linguistic Multicultural Studies (Centro Bilingüe) located in beautiful Cuernavaca, approximately an hour south of Mexico City. There, the student would live with a Mexican family, attend classes at least 6 hours a day, and have the opportunity to learn about Mexican culture by visiting the many interesting sites in central Mexico. By immersing oneself in the language and the culture, the most progress is achieved. |

Cuernavaca is recognized worldwide as the center for studies on Hispano American culture, humanities, and business in Latin America. Centro Bilingüe is ideally located in a safe residential area of Cuernavaca. Geographically speaking, Cuernavaca is located 50 miles south of Mexico City at a height of 1,542 m (4,626 ft) and has a population of approximately 500,000 inhabitants. Cuernavaca is known internationaly as the "City of Eternal Spring" boasting a year-round temperature of 75 to 80 degrees F. With Mexico City only an hour away, students can take advantage of the many historical and cultural benefits of the capital without the inconveniences of the "big city." Acapulco, one of the most famous tourist resorts in Mexico, is just 3 hours away. |
There are a variety of places to visit when not attending school at Centro Bilingüe. Interested in art, history, culture, nature, shopping? You can do it all. There are excursions planned by the school or you can arrange your own trip. |
